GC Rieber VivoMega Launches Algae DHA Oils

GC Rieber VivoMega has launched a line of VivoMega Algae Oils, which are an ocean-derived, high-concentration vegan omega-3 oil sourced from microalgae.

“For more than 120 years, the GC Rieber Group has spearheaded the processing and purification of marine oils. We are proud to announce this new offering adapted to the new environment, consumer demands, and increased flexibility," said Simon Riise, business development and sales manager at GC Rieber VivoMega. "Pulling from our researched-based history and proprietary processing technologies, we understand we're in a unique position to provide superior quality marine and vegan sources of omega-3s."

VivoMega Algae Oil is made with a proprietary processing technology called SuperLight, which was developed exclusively for algae oils. Its process allows for gentle and non-invasive processing, through a circular reflux system. The oil has very low exposure to heat, is protected from oxidation, and includes “every relevant fatty acid,” the company reports.

The circular technology results in a product which optimizes resource utilization for zero waste. As such, the ingredient range aligns with the EU Green Deal initiatives and UN Global Compact guidelines, GC Rieber VivoMega reports. It is also able to remain fresh for two years with optimal taste, smell, and color, thanks to low oxidation levels.
